Barrier Busters News
Every year is another opportunity to renew our focus and make good things happen in and around Eau Claire! The Barrier Busters, a social and advocacy group is planning some exciting activities for 2008 and invite you to be a part of them!
There are two groups within Barrier Busters:
- Advocacy: Meets monthly to discuss important local issues and concerns, including accessibility, Long Term Care Reform (Family Care), Transportation, Self Determination, Housing, Employment, etc.
- Social: Annual events such as a weekend camp experience at Luther Park, Bowling Tournament, and Dinner Dance are planned by the group for all who are interested to participate in. These are either free or very low cost. They are wonderful opportunities to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. We do our own fundraising to help make these activities possible!
