Disabled Transportation

Transportation is available to persons with disabilities through the Center for Independent Living for Western Wisconsin, Inc.’s New Freedom Volunteer Driver Program.

Using a pool of volunteer drivers, riders can go to medical and counseling appointments, shopping, social and recreational events, to visit family or friends, as funding permits and a 48 hour notice to schedule the ride.

Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles so they are unable to transport people who need a van with a lift through the New Freedom Volunteer Driver Program. However, St. Croix County ADRC is doing a pilot program currently in Hudson for nights and weekend service for persons needing the lift vehicle.  Contact CILWW at the number below to schedule your rides or if you have questions.

Residents of St. Croix, Pierce, Dunn, Polk, Barron and Pepin counties should contact CILWW at 877-384-7932

Eau Claire, Chippewa, Clark, & Rusk county residents should contact CILWW at 877-577-8452
